Hi there everyone and welcome to my new political blog. I guess the point of this space is to contribute to the political and constitutional debate in Britain from a (hopefully) radical and witty perspective, with little bits of sport, music and culture added too.
I'll talk about power, wealth, monarchy, religion, identity, nationalism, patriotism, republicanism, environmental problems and interesting solutions. I'm young, idealistic and recently moved from Northern England to North West Wales (Dw i'n dysgu Cymraeg). If Tom Paine were alive today I'd hope he'd read my blog, so I think I'll begin with a quote from that greatest of Englishmen - some words to sooth the heart in these such troubled times:
